Twitch impone verificar el teléfono móvil para streamear y actualiza su privacidad

La plataforma de Amazon ha confirmado la medida en uno de sus comunicados. El objetivo es prevenir que menores de 13 años emitan contenido en su plataforma, aunque afectará a todos la obligación de poner el teléfono.

Twitch es una plataforma que está en constante actualización y evolución, aunque la mayoría de usuarios pueda pensar que Amazon no mira cómo seguir mejorando el lugar dueño del streaming a nivel global.

Hay veces que las actualizaciones y medidas que toma Twitch no gustan a todos, pero hay otras veces que los ajustes que aplican pasan desapercibidos, por lo que es necesario revisar de vez en cuando su blog.

Ayer se comunicó un cambio importante en la plataforma, sobre todo para todos aquellos que streamean, ya que es una medida que solo le afecta a los streamers y no a los espectadores de los canales.

Resulta que Twitch ha actualizado su privacidad y ahora exige verificar el teléfono móvil para poder emitir contenido en la plataforma, algo que no era obligatorio antes.

El motivo de imponer esto es para evitar, según Twitch, que menores de 13 años hagan stream en la plataforma y velar por su seguridad ante ciertos contenidos y comentarios.

Además, aseguran que han actualizado la privacidad de la plataforma y confirman que hay ciertos susurros que se bloquean automáticamente, así como ciertos temas o frases que violen la política de Twitch.

Por último, están mejorando su tecnología de moderación para revisar mejor los reportes y mejorar todavía más la seguridad de Twitch, todo ello con el foco de evitar que los menores de 13 años sufran acoso o problemas en la plataforma.

Introducing mandatory phone verification requirements before potentially vulnerable accounts are able to livestream, in order to better prevent any users under 13 who made accounts with false age information from going live and putting themselves at risk before we’re able to identify and remove their account. Continuing to refine the moderation technology that our staff use to review certain user reports, to better ensure that any reported instance involving children under 13 is prioritized and quickly actioned.
